Gainesville man arrested after destroying church water pipes

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A Gainesville man is facing charges for destroying a church’s water pipes.

According to police, 27-year-old Derech Lollis was filmed kicking a faucet in front of Parkview Baptist Church.

He also stole a valve from the building’s main water line.

Lollis was arrested on Sunday morning for burglary and criminal damage.

According to officials, the property damage amounts to more than $3,000.
