1 dead after robbery with fatal accident in West Adams district of Los Angeles

WEST ADAMS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Los Angeles police are investigating a wild robbery that ended in a fatal accident in West Adams on Saturday night.

Investigators believe three men robbed a 21-year-old man near West Adams Boulevard and West View Street around 5:30 p.m.

The man who was robbed decided to chase the men who robbed him and intentionally rammed their car, causing the vehicle to spin out of control and crash into a pole, police said. The 32-year-old driver of the second car died at the scene.

According to the LAPD, the other two suspected thieves fled on foot and shot at the robbery victim. He was not hit.

The 21-year-old remained on site and is cooperating with the investigation.

No arrests were made and further details were not immediately available.
