Omaha police identify woman killed in hit-and-run

Omaha police identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash. It occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday morning near 24th and Decatur Streets. Omaha police said a car traveling north on 24th Street struck a pedestrian, identified as 19-year-old Danayjha Britt, as she was crossing the street from east to west. The driver failed to stop. Britt was taken to the hospital where she later died. Police are still searching for the suspect. It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday morning near 24th and Decatur Street.

Omaha police said a car traveling north on 24th Street struck a pedestrian, identified as 19-year-old Danayjha Britt, as she was crossing the street from east to west.

The driver did not stop.

Britt was taken to the hospital where she later died.
