Jeremy Renner no longer has energy for demanding roles after accident

JEREMY RENNER

NO MORE ENERGY FOR DEMANDING ROLES

… after a near-fatal accident

Jeremy RennerThe near-fatal snow plowing accident has really hurt his career. He says he is currently limited in the type of work he can do… because he is still recovering.

The actor was on the podcast “SmartLess” and said he was putting all his energy into his recovery – and that after crushed by a snow plow in 2023 – which is why he apparently cannot take on certain tasks for the time being.

JR explains that he can no longer take on demanding roles in front of the camera because it simply takes up too much of his time and energy… which he no longer has at his disposal.

Jeremy goes on to say that he was very scared about returning for season three of Mayor of Kingstown in January… explaining, “Because, what the hell am I supposed to do, do fiction? I’m still trying to live in reality, I’m trying to live. So it was a difficult line for me to cross.”

In other words, he’s so focused on getting back on his feet in real life that he can’t muster the momentum needed to immerse himself in a role that requires a lot of commitment from him.

Luckily for Jeremy, he was able to step back into his role as the Mayor of Kingstown because it was very familiar and didn’t take much effort to get into the role. However, he says that if he was offered a role like Jeffrey Dahmer… he would have to turn it down because he just can’t do it right now.

Jeremy was recently announced as the star of the exciting new film Knives Out – his first film since the accident, so despite his concerns, he is definitely still in the business and getting gigs.
