Douglas County deputy involved in shooting at southwest Atlanta gas station, GBI says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A shooting involving a law enforcement officer remains under investigation in southwest Atlanta.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said it was called early Monday morning to investigate a shooting involving a Douglas County deputy at a BP gas station on Fulton Industrial Boulevard, just off Interstate 20.

The Georgia State Patrol, South Fulton Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI are currently on scene and have taped off the gas station. Investigators appear to be focusing on two vehicles in the parking lot: a BMW and a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office vehicle.
