FWPD asks public for information on Superior Circle death investigation

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne Police are asking for the public’s help in investigating a death at a roundabout earlier this month.

On June 13, several officers were observed investigating at Superior Circle, the traffic circle that connects Fairfield Avenue, Wells, Superior and Ewing Streets on the edge of downtown. At that time, information about what was happening was very limited.

Further details are not yet available, but the FWPD said Thursday that the death was reported on June 10. Shortly before 11 p.m. that evening, someone near the traffic circle called 911.

Surveillance camera footage showed the victim in a red pickup truck stopped at the roundabout. No further details about the incident were released.

The cause of the victim’s death has not yet been determined, the FWPD said.

FWPD said Fort Wayne Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any information that advances the case. Anyone with information should contact FWPD’s Detective Bureau at (260) 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers through the P3 app.
