The Denton County Sheriff’s Office arrested nine more men in a raid on the prostitution scene on Friday, a day after 14 men were arrested in Lewisville, including the Highland Village fire chief.

The DCSO worked with the Tarrant and Grayson county sheriff’s offices and the Lewisville, Argyle and Arlington police departments on a joint operation targeting individuals soliciting prostitution. According to a DCSO press release, charges include soliciting prostitution of a minor, a second-degree felony.

Of the nine men arrested Friday, four were from Denton, one from Flower Mound and one from Argyle.

“In total, 23 people were arrested during the two-day operation,” the DCSO said in a statement. “The aim of these operations is to combat prostitution and protect minors from sexual exploitation. To this end, people are arrested who attempt to either purchase sexual services or contact minors for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts via the Internet.”
