IDF publishes names of seven soldiers killed in Gaza

The names of the seven soldiers killed in fighting in the Gaza Strip overnight were released by the Israeli army early Sunday after an exchange of letters with the soldiers’ families.

The names announced by the IDF are:

Captain (ret.) Eitan Koplovich, 28, from Jerusalem, combat officer in the 129th Battalion.

Maj. (res.) Elon Waiss, 49, of Psagot, soldier in the 129th Battalion.

Sergeant Eliyahu Moshe Zimbalist, 21, from Beit Shemesh, soldier in the 601st Battalion.

Sergeant Itay Amar, 19, from Kochav Yair-Tzur Yigal, a soldier in the 601st Battalion.

Sergeant Stanislav Kostarev, 21, from Ashdod, soldier in Battalion 601.

Staff Sgt. Orr Blumovitz, 20, of Pardes Hanna-Karkur, a soldier in the 601st Battalion.

Staff Sergeant Oz Yeshaia Gruber, 20, from Tal Menashe, soldier in the 601st Battalion.
