Runway work begins at Buffalo Niagara International Airport

Construction has begun at Buffalo Niagara International Airport on the airport’s main runway, which includes centerline, lighting and taxiway improvements.

Currently, taxiway A is under construction. From July 1, night work will begin on runway 5-23.

Flights are expected to arrive and depart around this work, airport officials say.

Beginning August 1, Runway 5-23 will close and remain closed until October 1, when it will return to nighttime closures only until November 1.
