Second person dies after incident in Hamlin

HAMLIN, NY – A man whose wife was found dead of a gunshot wound at a home on Monroe-Orleans County Line Road last month has also died.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the home just after 2:20 p.m. on April 25 and found 71-year-old Deborah Poprawski dead while her husband was critically injured.

John Poprawski, 72, died of his injuries Friday, but the circumstances of his injuries and the shooting remain unclear.
