Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner died after a snowplow accident, according to the Kingstown Mayor’s co-star

On New Year’s Day in 2023, Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner was crushed by a snowplow while trying to save his nephew. But just over a year after suffering life-threatening injuries, the actor returned to work in February to film the third season of Mayor of Kingstown.

To recap: Renner jumped onto the rolling snowplow when he noticed it sliding toward his nephew and was pulled underneath and crushed. He suffered more than 30 broken bones, had to undergo emergency surgery to save his life and spent most of 2023 recovering.

Speaking to The Direct, Renner’s co-star Michael Beach (Dead Boy Detectives), the mayor of Kingstown, claimed that the MCU vet “actually died” following the incident.

“Jeremy (Renner) is a warhorse, man. I mean, this guy broke 38 bones. He actually died, which I didn’t know until he told me, and he came back,” the actor said. “And he says he’s not sure what it would be like.
