Shooting on York Road: Man arrested after fatal shooting outside Hatboro store

HATBORO, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – Police are investigating a homicide in the normally quiet and peaceful community of Hatboro in Montgomery County.

According to police, two men got into an argument on Saturday evening in front of a shop on York Road that was owned by one of them.

According to police, 41-year-old Maurice Byrd of Horsham called 911 and said he was being verbally attacked by 37-year-old Stephen Strassburg of Hatboro.

During the operation, several shots were fired, killing Strassburg.

Byrd is awaiting arraignment on a first-degree murder charge.
