Missing Habersham teen found safe near Atlanta

Habersham County authorities said Thursday that Alexia Nicole Peppers was found safe in the Atlanta area.

Habersham County authorities are asking for help finding a missing teen.

Alexia Nicole Peppers, 16, was last seen Thursday at her home on Pantherbrook Lane in Turnerville.

Standing 5’7″ tall and weighing approximately 152 pounds, Peppers was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark blue t-shirt and white Vans sneakers with a blue and green flower drawn on the top. She also carried a “tree of life”. pendant at the time.

Peppers can also wear a blue or teal backpack decorated with polka dots.

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office said on social media that Peppers was believed to be traveling with an adult male, Derrick Jayden Wing.

Wing, 20, is 5’5″, weighs approximately 168 pounds and has numerous tattoos on his face, neck, chest and arms.

The two men – who may be in the Atlanta metro area or traveling to Lockport, Illinois – are traveling in a vehicle of unknown description.

The sheriff’s office says it considers Wing dangerous and potentially armed.
