Williamson man arrested for domestic altercation with child

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Nathaniel Colfer of Williamson following an investigation into a domestic incident.

Colfer is accused of obstructing breathing and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges stem from an incident in December 2023 in which Colfer allegedly choked his 14-year-old daughter during an argument, leaving her gasping for air.

Colfer was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
