The odd couple reacts to Jamal Murray escaping suspension

On today’s edition of The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker, Chris and Rob react to the news that Denver Nuggets G Jamal Murray avoided a suspension after hitting an official in Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves had thrown a heat pack.

Chris Broussard: “The entire situation is so outrageous. If I’m the commissioner, I don’t care what the rules say, you can’t throw anything on the field when players are playing. I would have suspended him. I understand there is no general rule, but by not suspending him the league is creating a loophole because they do NOT want to suspend him.

Rob Parker: “They had no foothold. The league had no precedent for suspending him because it didn’t affect anyone. They did the only thing they could do by fining him.
