According to police, a child died in a fatal car crash on South Broad on Sunday afternoon

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A child was killed in a car crash at the intersection of S. Broad and Cleveland Avenue Sunday afternoon, according to NOPD.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. According to police, the teenager was thrown from one of the vehicles upon impact.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and took the child to a local hospital. Shortly after arrival, the child was pronounced dead.

No further details about the accident or the child’s age have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
