Houthis attack ships, including US Navy ships

The Houthis said early Sunday that they had attacked several ships with drones and missiles over the weekend, including two belonging to the US Navy.

The Iran-backed group said that in addition to a destroyer, the aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower was also attacked in the Red Sea.

In addition, the merchant ships Maina and Abliana in the Red Sea and the Aloraiq in the Indian Ocean were attacked.

The US and other countries launched operations against the Houthis in response to the terror group’s attacks on ships in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. The group began its attacks after Israel launched its “Iron Swords” campaign on October 7 in retaliation for the invasion of Israel by Hamas and other terror groups.

The Houthis have also launched attacks on Israel’s southern port of Eilat.

Iran has reportedly supplied anti-ship missiles to the Houthis, a Shiite terrorist group that controls large parts of Yemen.

The United States and Britain said on Friday they had attacked several Houthi targets in Yemen in response to attacks on merchant and warships.
