News Flash • Marshalltown Police Investigate SH

On Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:20 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the Bar Center Street Station, located at 19 North Center Street, after receiving a 911 call of a shooting at that location. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders provided emergency medical care at the scene. The victim was transported to a medical facility. The victim has died. The victim’s name is not being released at this time as family has not yet been notified.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. No arrests have been made. There are no suspects in police custody. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting the Marshalltown Police Department in this investigation.
