The recently captured former fugitive known as the “rapist with bad breath” told his girlfriend, a multimillionaire florist, to “act like you never met me” and move on with her life because he will “die in prison” after his arrest in California, The Post can exclusively reveal.

Tuen Kit Lee, 55, was nabbed by police on Tuesday near the $4.3 million mansion of his unsuspecting girlfriend Jie Su in the greater San Francisco area after spending 17 years on the run from a rape conviction in Massachusetts.

According to Su, she spoke briefly with her boyfriend on the phone after his arrest. He apologized for turning her life upside down and urged her to start over.

“He said, ‘I’m so sorry. Just act like you never met me. Take care of yourself. I love you so much,'” Su told The Post through tears.

“He said he could die in prison (and he was) ‘sorry for causing so much chaos for you.'”

Lee lived with his partner Jie Su, a wealthy flower shop owner known as “Grace” (pictured). According to Massachusetts State Police, she had no idea of his violent past and thought his name was “Randy.” Jie Su
Lee was arrested on Tuesday after being on the run for 16 years.

Su, who is known as “Grace” and owns a successful flower business, told the Post she had known her lover for 10 years as “Randy Lee” and was completely “shocked” to learn that was not his real name – and about his dark past.

The first she found out was when the police stopped her car and announced that Randy was actually Lee, a wanted rapist they had been searching the country for.

Lee’s disturbing past includes a violent break-in on February 2, 2005, at the home of a waitress who worked at his family’s restaurant in the Boston suburb of Quincy.

He threatened his victim with a knife, tied her hands to a bed with cable ties and brutally raped her, police said at the time.

Although he was wearing a ski mask, police said investigators were able to identify him in part because the victim recognized her boss’s terrible bad breath.

Su said the two met at a bus stop in San Francisco about 10 years ago and soon began a relationship before Lee began working as an assistant at her city store, trimming and cleaning flowers.

A few years later, he moved into their luxurious home near Danville and lived there until his arrest.

Su said Lee maintained an aura of mystery throughout their relationship and brushed her off when she asked him anything about his background. She also never met any of his friends, she said.

“I suggested we visit his family, but he didn’t want to. He said there was a problem with them and I said maybe I could help sort things out,” she explained.

“He didn’t want to talk.

“I thought he just had financial problems.”

When Lee was found guilty of kidnapping and rape in 2007, he had already fled the state.

Additionally, DNA evidence linked him to the crime, and the victim was also able to identify him by his scent.

“He was ultimately identified by his DNA and his terrible breath, earning him the nickname ‘The Bad Breath Rapist,'” state police said.

Although Su is shocked to find out that her partner is a convicted rapist who has lied to her about his identity throughout their relationship, she still considers him her fiancé – even though she says they are not officially engaged.

“I want to marry him,” Su told the Post, adding that she had previously expressed this desire to Lee, but that he had told her that he “needed time.”

“I think he made a mistake, but I don’t think he’s a bad person.

“Everyone likes him. He is very gentle with women.

“He cares about me a lot.”

Lee urged Su to move on with her life after his arrest. AP

Su said she would continue to support him in any way she could.

Lee was returned to Massachusetts overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on Friday, authorities said. He also now faces additional charges of fugitive from justice.
