Springfield Police will conduct traffic surveillance on this road on Friday

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts (WWLP) – Springfield police will increase efforts to prevent distracted driving and speeding Friday morning.

Officers from the Springfield Police Department’s Traffic and Regulatory Unit will be conducting high-visibility traffic enforcement on Parker Street from 9:00 a.m. to noon Friday morning.

The goal of this measure is to reduce speeding and cell phone use on this busy street. Parker Street stretches through Indian Orchard and Sixteen Acres to East Longmeadow.
