Police: Nine-year-old sexually abused on Renaissance West STEAM Academy school grounds

CHARLOTTE, NC – Police say a 9-year-old boy was sexually assaulted by another student during class time on Renaissance West STEAM Academy school grounds.

The police report states that the incident occurred at the school on May 28.

The charge in this case is sexual abuse of a child/sexual offense: sodomy in the first or second degree.

The report also states that the relationship between the victim and the suspect was “extra-familial.”
