Israeli tourist found dead after fall in Rio De Janiero – report

An Israeli tourist was found dead on Almirante Alexandrin Street in the Santa Teresa neighborhood of Rio de Janiero on Monday evening.

According to Brazilian military police, a couple walking down the street in the neighborhood spotted a motorcycle. Terrified, 22-year-old Alma Bohadana reportedly jumped from a retaining wall near the climb to Corcovado.

At around 7 p.m., the fire department was called to rescue a woman who had fallen about 15 meters into a forest.

Although he was extremely nervous, the man said in an initial statement to police that they had been hit by a van or a red car, but he did not see if anyone was armed.

The military police have asked the Israeli consulate for assistance.

The case is being investigated by the Capital Homicide Division, which has not ruled out a motive for the fall.

Investigators are considering the possibility that a motorcycle was driving through the area shortly before she fell.
