Thrissur: A woman constable of the Kerala Police Academy in Ramavarmapuram has filed a complaint of sexual assault against a senior officer.

It is alleged that the accused, an office manager, summoned the plaintiff to his office and sexually assaulted her. The victim, an officer with the rank of police chief, wrote a complaint to the director of the academy about the incident.

The complaint states that she was the first victim of the assault on May 17. The accused summoned her to the office and said that some documents needed to be printed. When the victim entered the office, the accused grabbed her and tried to sexually assault her. After that, the complainant left the office. The complaint also alleges that the accused misbehaved with her in a similar way two days later. The complainant demanded strict action against the officer. She stated that she could not continue attending the academy and was in great mental turmoil.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the officer’s complaint has not yet reached the local police station. The Viyyur police station, where the academy is located, responded that it has not received any such complaint. However, it is reported that the academy has initiated an internal investigation into the incident. If the internal investigation finds evidence, the complaint will be forwarded to the local police.
