Due to shooting involving a police officer in Auburn, surrounding streets are closed

The King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that its officers were involved in an officer-involved shooting in Auburn on Friday morning.

Law enforcement is releasing few details at this time, but a briefing is expected shortly. A use-of-force team is investigating.

This morning, KCSO officers were involved in an officer-involved shooting. The Valley Independent Investigation Team will be conducting the investigation. All media inquiries should be directed to Commander Rossie-Tukwila PD. @TukwilaPD

KIRO 7 reported Friday afternoon that officers from King County and Tukwila Police Departments and Auburn Police Department responded to an apartment complex at 24 Auburn Way in Auburn.

According to a video of the shooting, a SWAT team approached a home and was fired upon before returning fire. The suspect’s condition is currently unknown.
