Three people killed in nine shootings in Houston this weekend

Temperatures are rising, and as they rise, so does violent crime in Houston.

At least three people were shot in what appeared to be a drive-by in a Foot Locker parking lot. This is one of two shootings we learned about Sunday evening.

This followed an even more violent Saturday night, where there were six separate shootings that killed three people and injured six others. These shootings all took place within a five-hour period.

In a shooting, a pizza delivery man was confronted by two men during an attempted robbery. This driver shot and killed a man. The shooter cooperated and the case was taken to a grand jury.

It was the first full weekend of senior police work for HPD Acting Chief Larry Satterwhite, who succeeded the now-retired Troy Finner.
