A man is killed in a two-vehicle crash in Preble County

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A two-vehicle collision in Preble County has left one man dead and another injured.

According to a release from the Preble County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation indicates that a Ford Flex traveling west on State Route 725 around 2 p.m. Friday failed to stop at the intersection with State Route 177 and struck a Dodge pick-up -up northbound collided.


The pickup overturned, throwing the driver, Roger D. Flannery, 64, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky.

Flannery was pronounced dead at the scene.

Flex driver Bridgett Harper, 29, of Brownsville, Indiana, was uninjured, although a passenger in her vehicle was taken to a hospital in Hamilton, Ohio, with non-life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, a child secured in a child seat, was also uninjured.

A passenger in Flannery’s pickup was taken to a hospital in Oxford, Ohio, with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Preble County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the crash.
