Things to do in Albany, New York

This Friday, Albany, New York, turns into Banditland.

The reigning NLL champion Buffalo bandits will travel west on Route 90 to the New York State Capital District for the first of a potential three-game final series against the Albany Fire Wolveswhose winner will become the 2024 NLL Champions.

Bandits fans know how to travel, and there’s no doubt which team will be cheering the loudest in MVP Arena on May 17 – including, apparently, their opponents.

But the FireWolves can’t be surprised. There’s a lot on the line here for the Bandits, including a championship repeat and their 6th title in franchise history; so of course, the Banditland from 716 will migrate to 518 to show support for his beloved team.

What Buffalo Bandits Fans Need to Know About Albany

As a Bandits fan who lives in Buffalo but grew up in the Capital Region, I have a warning I’d like to heed to all my fellow Bandits who make the trip to Albany for Friday’s game…

Albany Rules.

I’m serious! Just steps from MVP Arena, there is so much to see and do, no matter what you like.

Want to spend a day and discover one (or more) of the amazing historic sites just steps from the arena? There are perfect places to do just that.

Then again, if you’d rather eat some delicious food and have a few drinks before chanting “Let’s Go Bandits!” » for a few hours, we also have the best places to do it.

And since it’s Albany, there are even places where you can accomplish both. It’s cool like that.
