Two dogs found dead during animal neglect investigation

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Evansville police find two dead dogs while investigating an animal neglect case.

Authorities said animal control requested officers in response to two stray puppies found in a residence on Jackson Avenue.

Officials said residents found the dogs in a kennel behind their home a week ago and attempted to nurse them back to health before animal control arrived on scene.

The investigation is not yet complete.
