University of Chicago campus police begin clearing protest camp

Campus police began dismantling a pro-Palestinian camp set up by protesters at the University of Chicago, footage released early on the morning of May 7 shows.

Brendan Gutenschwager’s video shows officers demolishing buildings on the grounds of the university’s main campus, including a sign reading “End of Siege” and calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Accordingly ABC 7, police announced over loudspeakers that all remaining people would be arrested for trespassing.

A NBC 5 reporters on site did not witness any arrests at the time of writing.

Accordingly, demonstrators against the war in Gaza have been camping on campus for more than a week ABC 7.
