Man killed by rain on 610 South Loop

HOUSTON (KIAH) – A fatal single-car crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. at 610 South Loop and Crestmont, as the Houston Police Department (HPD) and Houston Fire Department (HFD) responded to a major crash in which a gold four-cylinder SUV lost control in the rain, skidded across major lanes and crashed into a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. According to HPD reports, it was raining heavily at the time of the crash.
