First Alert Weather: Another day with higher humidity and chance of rain

ROCHESTER, NY — Summer heat and humidity will linger for another 36 hours before cooler, drier conditions return late Thursday. Relief will come as a cold front crosses the area. That front will eventually provide a refreshing change of pace for the second half of the week and early weekend. Until then, however, the higher humidity could bring a passing shower or thunderstorm.

Partly cloudy skies and the occasional thunderstorm are expected Tuesday night. It will be another muggy night with lows around 19 degrees. Skies will be hazy on Wednesday and there is a chance of a few showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon. Currently, the risk of a severe storm is fairly low. For this reason, News10NBC’s First Alert threat tracker remains green, but it is recommended that you check News10NBC as new weather data becomes available. A cold front will move through the area on Thursday, bringing some cooler and drier weather.
