Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Former Buffalo Diocese Priest Are Found

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Allegations against a former priest in the Diocese of Buffalo have been confirmed following an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, the diocese announced.

The Rev. Joseph Rogliano of Family 21 has been charged with sexual misconduct with adults. Bishop Michael W. Fisher found the charge to be true following an initial internal investigation, an independent investigation and recommendations from the Independent Review Board.


Rogliano was placed on administrative leave in September 2023 and retired in February 2024.

Family 21 is made up of the parishes of the Blessed Trinity, SS. Columba-Brigid, Saint-Laurent and Saint-Martin de Porres.
