Coach faces court over alleged sexual assault – FBC News

A 45-year-old man will appear before the Magistrates Court in Suva tomorrow on suspicion of sexually harassing and indecently assaulting three girls.

According to police, the accused was the girl’s sports coach and the incident allegedly occurred during training sessions.

The man is accused of sexually abusing three girls aged 13, 14 and 16 in Suva on ten separate occasions between February last year and March this year.

The man is accused of eight counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent touching.

The police announce that they will take aggressive action in cases involving vulnerable people.

They also urge parents to be vigilant when sending their children to training or other activities.

The Fiji Police Force urges all young people to be confident and to report unpleasant matters immediately.
