Woman accused of murdering her father, rearrested on other charges

GLASGOW, Kentucky – A woman accused of murder in connection with the death of her father has been arrested on new charges.

According to jail records, Cheryl Leighanne Bennett, 47, was arrested Tuesday on charges of contempt of court, libel/slander and resisting public order.

Bennett was arrested in November 2022, nearly five months after 75-year-old Michael O. Logsdon was found dead in Glasgow.

According to court documents, an arrest warrant was issued on Monday because there was reasonable suspicion that Bennett had violated bail conditions.

Bennett was taken to the Barren County Detention Center but has since been released.
