Maine State Police are responding to an incident on I-295 near Freeport

FREEPORT, Maine – Maine State Police responded to a reported incident on Interstate 295 Thursday afternoon.

The incident is reportedly centered between the southernmost Freeport exit, 20, and the northernmost Yarmouth exit, 17, both of which connect to US Route 1.

The town line between the two communities is approximately at mile marker 18 of I-295 and lies in the Cousins ​​River area.
