As the Doha talks begin, dozens are killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip

Israeli attacks on Gaza leave dozens dead as negotiators meet in Doha for ceasefire talks

Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip continued into Wednesday, with bombings reported in the center, south and north of the Gaza Strip as politicians meet in Qatar to negotiate a ceasefire agreement.

According to Arab media reports, at least six people were killed in attacks in Nuseirat and the southern Gaza Strip in the early hours of the morning, including four children from the al-Mabhouh family in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

A school near Khan Younis was hit by a major attack on Tuesday, killing 29 people who were taking shelter there, in one of the worst cases of the conflict. A source at the nearby Nasser Hospital said: AFP that there were casualties, including 29 dead and dozens injured.

Hundreds of displaced Palestinian families have been forced to flee Gaza in recent days as fighting intensified. There are reports of dozens of casualties and doctors have said it has become too dangerous to reach those in need of assistance.

Meanwhile, the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate as aid deliveries continue to be hampered by Israeli border closures. UN human rights experts on Tuesday accused Israel of conducting a “targeted campaign of starvation” that has led to the deaths of children in Gaza.
