Trump exploits Biden’s campaign problems, proposes another debate and attacks Vice President Harris

At his first rally in ten days, Trump addressed Biden’s campaign problems.

At his first campaign rally in ten days, former President Donald Trump took advantage of the uncertainties in President Joe Biden’s campaign and offered Biden the opportunity to “redeem” himself through two proposals: participating in another debate this week and a golf match.

“So tonight I’m officially offering Joe a chance to redeem himself in front of the whole world,” Trump told a rally crowd at Trump National Doral Golf Course in Florida. “Let’s have another debate this week so sleepy Joe Biden can prove to everyone around the world that he has what it takes to be president, but this time it will be man-to-man, with no moderators.”

The former president also mentioned a notable moment between the two presidential candidates when they faced each other for the first time on the 2024 debate stage last month, by also challenging Biden to a golf match.

James Singer, spokesman for the Biden-Harris campaign, immediately rejected this suggestion, calling it “strange antics.”

As more Democrats publicly call on Biden to withdraw his re-election campaign, Trump downplays the challenges that would arise if Biden decides to step down as a candidate, arguing that no one can beat him.

“Despite all the panic the Democrats are spreading this week, the truth is it doesn’t matter who they nominate, because we will defeat every one of them hands down,” he said.

Trump also spent a notable amount of time in his speech attacking Vice President Kamala Harris, who was being discussed as a possible Biden replacement in the election.

“You have to give him credit for a brilliant decision, probably the smartest decision he’s ever made. He picked Kamala Harris as his vice president,” he said. “If Joe had picked someone even halfway competent. They would have thrown him out of office years ago, but they can’t because she has to be their second choice.”

The former president portrayed Harris as a “socialist” and highlighted her achievements as a senator and vice president.

For Trump’s youngest son Barron, who introduced him to the crowd, Tuesday evening’s rally was a first.

“This is the first time he’s done this. This is the first time, right?” Trump said after asking Barron Trump to stand and praising him, saying he was “maybe more popular than Don and Eric.”

Meanwhile, former First Lady Melania Trump – who hosted a fundraiser for the pro-Trump LGBTQ group Log Cabin Republicans in New York last night – was conspicuously absent. She has yet to attend a Trump campaign political rally this election season.

Trump called for early voting, which begins in two months, and urged his supporters to ensure their votes are counted.

“Make sure the votes are counted. You can. Pay attention to this vote because these people are cheating like no one has ever cheated before. Frankly, they’re not good at politics, but they’re good at cheating,” Trump said.
