Two more suspects arrested in connection with shooting at Fort Worth after-prom party that killed teenager

Jail records show two more suspects were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting at an after-prom party in south Fort Worth.

According to Fort Worth Jail records, 19-year-old Kaiis Williams and 18-year-old Tahv’yown Williams were both taken into custody Wednesday and face murder charges.

The first suspect, 17-year-old Jerome Gray, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting of 19-year-old Daniel Olalde Moreno.

Olalde Moreno and two other people were shot in the 3900 block of Singleleaf Lane in Fort Worth on April 21. All three victims were at a large after-party following prom when a fight broke out over a dice game and shots were fired, the homeowner told Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV.

The party was supposed to be an intimate one hosted by the homeowner’s son, a student at Arlington Heights High School, but after someone posted about the party on social media, hundreds of people showed up, the homeowner said.

Police have not released any further details about the shooting, including what they believe to be the motive.

A police spokesman declined to provide information Tuesday on the condition of the other two victims who were shot and arrived at John Peter Smith Hospital in private vehicles, police said. Their condition was stable in the hours after the shooting, police said.

Olalde Moreno was transported to JPS via CareFlite after initially being admitted to Harris Southwest Hospital in critical condition. He died the following day in the JPS intensive care unit from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

When police arrived, none of the shot victims were at the scene.

Olalde Moreno previously attended the Polytechnic High School and most recently helped his father with masonry work, KTVT-TV reported.
