Married 36-year-old teacher charged with sexual assault after ‘having an affair with a student’ in New Jersey

A married teacher in New Jersey has been charged with sexual assault for allegedly having sexual relations with a student.

Julie Rizzitello, 36, is accused of engaging in “various sexual acts” with the student “on multiple occasions and in at least three jurisdictions – Belmar, Brick and Wall” throughout the year.

Rizzitello, who married her husband in 2017, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, three counts of sexual abuse and witness tampering.

Due to the allegations, Rizzitello resigned from her position at Wall Township High School earlier this week.

The former English teacher is currently in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, where she awaits a detention hearing.

Rizzitello’s alleged relationship with the student is said to have begun earlier this year.

Prosecutors allege that she performed sexual acts with them on several occasions and in three different townships.

Charges have now been filed against her in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Rizzitello was reportedly an English teacher who worked in the Wall Township school district for ten years.

She is accused of having engaged in “various sexual acts” with the student “on multiple occasions and in at least three jurisdictions – Belmar, Brick and Wall” over the course of the year.
This happened after special education teacher Allison Havemann-Niedrach was arrested in New Jersey for allegedly sexually harassing one of her students.

She also worked as a consultant for several clubs in the area. It is not clear whether the victim was a student or a member of the club.

Her profile on the school district’s website was removed Thursday, but an archived copy of the webpage was still available.

She is awaiting a court date in Monmouth County Superior Court to face the charges.

Allison Havemann-Niedrach, 43, a special education teacher at Freehold Intermediate School in New Jersey, was taken into custody, prosecutors announced June 29.

Her arrest came after an investigation by the Monmouth County District Attorney’s Office and Freehold Police Department revealed that she allegedly began sexually abusing a student earlier this year.

It is unclear how many times she allegedly sexually abused the student or how old he was, even though the middle school only serves students in sixth through eighth grades.

Havemann-Niedrach is now charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. She can be seen smiling in her mug shot.
