“If you ever have a fight with another car, you will win”

A Tesla Cybertruck was involved in a hit-and-run accident on the highway, but amazingly no damage was caused.

According to Teslarati, the vehicle was driving on the highway when a Ford Mustang drove quickly into the Cybertruck. In Teslacam footage, the Mustang appeared to be damaged, but the Tesla’s owner later revealed that the Cybertruck had no body damage.

Tesla Cybertrucks have an outer skin made of ultra-hard stainless steel. The owner of this particular vehicle decided to apply a paint protection film to the all-electric truck. After the impact, the video shows the PPF being removed, revealing an undamaged surface.

The Megawatts (@themegawatts) posted the footage on Instagram, and a more detailed video is available on YouTube.

After installing a new PPF layer, the Cybertruck was as good as new.

Tesla has gone to great lengths to develop an electric pickup truck that is as rugged as its competitors in the gasoline vehicle market. In addition to the stainless steel exoskeleton, these vehicles also feature armored glass that can “withstand the impact of a baseball at 70 mph or Class 4 hail.”

The trucks also have an 11,000-pound towing capacity and an extremely durable composite bed so no liner is required. With an estimated range of 340 miles, this truck is ready to handle a large customer base. Since accidents are sometimes unavoidable, knowing that if one does occur, your vehicle will be cheaper to repair is also a good selling point.

These and other Tesla efforts, such as providing long-lasting car batteries, are helping to make electric vehicles a great option for more people and moving us all toward a cleaner, safer future.

In addition, Tesla has reduced the cost of some of its vehicles and is working to reduce insurance costs for those vehicles. The more accessible electric vehicles are to everyday consumers, the fewer gasoline-powered vehicles will be on the roads, causing toxic air pollution.

Tesla has a large fleet of electric vehicles for consumers to choose from, most notably the ultra-rugged Cybertruck. At a Cybertruck delivery event in late 2023, Elon Musk commented, “If you ever have an argument with another car, you’re going to win.”
