Lawrence County deputy sheriff killed in accident

LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Lawrence County deputy was killed in a car crash Wednesday, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office said.

“It is with heavy hearts and deepest sympathies that we announce the sudden passing of Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Cutcher,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media post. “Today, Deputy Cutcher was involved in a car accident in Lawrenceburg that ultimately resulted in his death.”

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of West Gaines Street and Mahr Avenue.

The accident is being investigated by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

“The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office asks for prayers for friends and family during this difficult time.”
