US President Joe Biden threatened to withdraw his support for Israel if the country carried out a major attack on Iran after Tehran had already responded to an attack on its embassy in Syria, the New York Times reported.

In April, Iran fired hundreds of ballistic and cruise missiles at Israel following the attack on the Israeli embassy, ​​killing several Iranian politicians.

“Let me be very clear… If you launch a major attack on Iran, you are on your own,” Biden reportedly said in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the successfully thwarted April 18 attack, which the newspaper described as a “lecture.”

According to the report, Netanyahu put strong pressure on Biden to retaliate against Iran and avoid the impression of weakness.

“If you do that, I’m out,” Biden reportedly told Netanyahu. “Take the win.”
