NOPD investigates fatal shooting in French Quarter

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a woman dead in the French Quarter. Police say the shooting occurred just after 4:30 a.m. in the 700 block of St. Peter Street and the victim was shot while sitting in his car. The NOPD says when they arrived at the scene, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. When emergency medical services arrived, she was pronounced dead at the scene. New Orleans police are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead in the French Quarter.

According to police, the shooting occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. in the 700 block of St. Peter Street, and the victim was shot while sitting in his car.

The NOPD said when they arrived at the scene they found a woman with a gunshot wound.

When the emergency services arrived, she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

This is an ongoing investigation.
