2 dead found in Rochester, police suspect murder-suicide

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Two people were found dead in Rochester. Police believe it was a murder-suicide.

The 30-year-old man and his 54-year-old mother were found shot to death in an apartment in the 100 block of Sandbar Court Northeast. Police had been called to the son’s apartment for a welfare check on Thursday when they found the bodies.

A pistol was found near the son’s body.

The police are not looking for any other suspects.
