Police say truck driver hits and kills on 422 in Montco, Pennsylvania – NBC10 Philadelphia

A driver was killed when a tractor-trailer collided with a vehicle on Route 422 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, authorities said.

The accident occurred Friday morning on Rt. 422 East at mile marker 188 in Lower Providence Township. A tractor-trailer was traveling westbound when it crossed the median and collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The vehicle hit by the truck then left the road and crashed down an embankment. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim.

Due to the accident, both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 422 were closed Friday morning.
