Faustino Calleja arrested for drunk driving and reckless driving

MOUNTAIN LAKES – On May 5, 2024, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Patrolman Brown was conducting a vehicle stop on Route 46 East after observing a vehicle nearly collide with The Mansion’s welcome sign.

After an investigation, the driver, 23-year-old Faustino Calleja of Parsippany, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Mr. Calleja was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, carrying an open container in the vehicle, blocking the windshield, making an improper turn, not having an insurance card, driving without a license and failure to obey traffic control devices.

A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite this accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
