Excavator driver injured in front of Auburn City Hall

On Friday afternoon, an excavator overturned in front of Memorial City Hall, injuring its driver. The excavator was part of the $2.8 million renovation project of the Seward House Museum.

Auburn Police reported that the accident occurred as the driver was attempting to load the excavator onto a flatbed. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

While the excavator was being set up, traffic on South Street was temporarily closed.
