Homicide investigation underway after man found dead in Wayne County.

WAYNE COUNTY, Mississippi (WDAM) – A homicide investigation has been launched in Wayne County after a man was found dead Monday afternoon.

Deputy Coroner Blake Kelly said he received a call to a crime scene near Clara West Road in Waynesboro shortly before 2 p.m.

Both the Waynesboro Police Department and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
