After investigation into burglary, the couple is charged with multiple crimes | Latest from WDEL News

A man and a juvenile are charged with burglary, conspiracy and other crimes following an investigation by the district police.

An occupied home in Beaver Brook Crest was broken into and property stolen during the second weekend of June. New Castle County police said the investigation linked 20-year-old Andrew Lloyd and a 17-year-old boy to several other theft cases under New Castle County police jurisdiction. A SWAT team and detectives arrested them last Wednesday at a home in Wilmington.

Lloyd was held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $33,100 bail. County police charged Lloyd with the following:

Six counts of third-degree burglary.

Five counts of second-degree conspiracy.

Two counts of first degree aggravated burglary.

Two counts of grand theft of $1,500 or more.

One count of theft under $1,500 where the victim is 62 years of age or older.

One count of wearing a disguise during the commission of a crime

One count of theft of a motor vehicle

One count of unauthorized use of a payment card over $1,500

Five counts of attempted theft under $1,500.

Four counts of theft under $1,500.

Two counts of unauthorized use of a payment card valued at less than $1,500.

The teenager is being held at the New Castle County Detention Center on $35,000 bail. Police listed the following charges against the teenager:

Six counts of third-degree burglary.

Four counts of second-degree conspiracy.

Two counts of grand theft of $1,500 or more.

One count of first degree burglary.

One count of receiving stolen property valued at over $1,500.

One count of theft under $1,500 where the victim is 62 years of age or older.

One count of unauthorized use of a payment card valued at over $1,500.

Five counts of attempted theft under $1,500.

Two counts of theft under $1,500.

Two counts of unauthorized use of a payment card valued at less than $1,500.
