Investigations into sexual assault lead to arrest

A sexual assault investigation that began in Rolla on May 29 resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old man. During the preliminary investigation, the investigator identified a second victim, a 14-year-old girl. During questioning, the victim claimed that a man gave her alcohol and sexually assaulted her. Rolla Police Department investigators gathered information and had enough information to seek an arrest warrant. As a result, 29-year-old Shane Mullins of Cuba was arrested on two counts of enticement of a child. Mullins is being held without bail.
